GRADUATE AUDITION NEWS
Brad started dancing at ElliTe Studios in Nov 2009, aged 11. He quickly excelled in all dance genres, progressing through the graded exams into the vocational levels. Brad enjoyed success representing the school in multiple regional and national competitions, winning many awards, bursaries and titles. In 2016, Brad represented ElliTe Studios at the ISTD Senior Ballet Awards and was honoured to have been awarded 3rd place in the Intermediate class. Also during the academic year 2015-2016,
Brad gained his Advanced 2 Tap, his Advanced 1 ISTD Ballet and his Advanced 2 Modern qualifications all with Distinction (98% in Advanced 2 Modern). In April 2016 Brad auditioned for and gained a place at the prestigious Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary where he officially commenced a 3 year degree course in Sept 2016. Brad is also well-known for his exceptional choreographic skills and has helped to create stunning modern, jazz and commercial numbers for pupils in the school.
Lydia commenced at ElliTe Studios in 2007 aged 10. Whilst at ElliTe, Lydia represented the school in multiple regional and national competitions and in 2009 won the prestigious Junior Janet Cram Award. This success was repeated in 2012 when Lydia was runner-up in the Premier section of the Janet Cram Awards. Throughout her childhood Lydia participated in many productions, often performing leading roles and receiving rave reviews.
Regarding her dance qualifications, Lydia gained both her Advanced 1 Tap and Modern with Distinction and her Intermediate Ballet. Lydia successfully auditioned for Urdang Academy in London and commenced training there on the 3 year degree course in Sept 2015.
Melissa started dancing at ElliTe Studios in 2009. Whilst a pupil at ElliTe Melissa gained her Advanced 1 Tap and Modern qualifications with Distinction.
At 18, Melissa successfully auditioned for a 3 year degree course in Professional Musical Theatre at Bird College, London, where she's now graduated.
Emily joined ElliTe Studios in 2009 at the age of 11. Whilst a pupil at the school Emily gained her Advanced 1 Tap and Modern qualifications. Emily began her vocational training in Sept 2015 at Urdang Academy, London.
Eve only joined ElliTe Studios briefly before auditioning for vocational colleges at age 16. Eve was offered a place at Urdang Academy and began a 3 year course there in Sept 2013.
Eve graduated Summer 2016 and has already secured a job as dancer / aerialist for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Between performing contracts Eve teaches jazz workshops and masterclasses.
Leah achieved a lot during her time at ElliTe. She often performed in local competitions with excellent results. In her final year with us, Leah successfully auditioned for Wakefield Youth Musical Theatre production of 'Cats' and 'Strictly Musicals', as well as appearing in our show 'On Your Feet'. She also gained her Intermediate and Advanced 1 Ballet qualifications and Intermediate Modern exam. At 16 Leah was offered places at Ballet West and Northern Ballet School, but ultimately decided to take her DADA funded course at NBS where she started this Sept.
Charlotte was one of our original ElliTe Studios seniors. By 18, Charlotte had already performed professionally in pantomimes and corporate entertainment events, including a 6 week Summer Season contract. After finishing her A-levels Charlotte successfully auditioned for a DADA funded place at Stella Mann college in Bedford and commenced there in 2010. Upon graduation, Charlotte immediately gained a contract with Princess Cruises through the ElliTe Management Agency and has been performing for them since.
Rebecca graduated from ElliTe Studios in July 2017, age 16. In her final year at the school Rebecca represented us at the ISTD Senior Ballet Awards and the Janet Cram Awards before going on to gain places at NBS and Ballet West. Rebecca gained her Advanced 2 Tap, Advanced 1 Modern, and Advanced 1 Ballet qualifications prior to leaving and commenced her vocational training at Ballet West (year 1) before transferring to Northern Ballet School for her 2nd and 3rd year. Rebecca is due to graduate from NBS in July 2020.
Leah joined ElliTe Studios in Nov 2009, aged 12. At the time, Leah had a background in disco/freestyle dancing, but had no prior training in the technical theatre styles of Ballet, Tap and Modern. Teachers at ElliTe quickly embarked on teaching Leah the fundamentals from Grade 1 upwards and via a solid training route Leah quickly progressed through the grades and into the Majors. In Sept 2015, Leah commenced training towards the ISTD teacher training qualifications here at ElliTe Studios and has since gained the full Diploma in Dance Education in Ballet, Tap and Modern, as well as her Advanced 2 qualifications in Imperial Classical Ballet, Modern and Tap. Leah taught at ElliTe Studios for several years from age 16+ before accepting a performance contract for Sani Hotels and Resorts in Greece.
Alicia graduated from ElliTe in the Summer of 2018 with Advanced 2 Tap, Advanced 1 Ballet and Advanced 1 Modern. Having secured places at several vocational dance colleges, Alicia selected Bird College to continue her trianing and is now in her 2nd year.
Jasmine graduated from ElliTe in the Summer of 2018, with Advanced 1 Modern, Advanced 1 Tap and Intermediate Ballet. During her time at our school, Jasmine also trained with Phoenix Youth Academy which instilled in her a passion for Contemporary dance. Jazzy completed a 1 Year Foundation course in Contemporary Dance at Northern School of Contemporary Dance and is now in her first year of a BA (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Dance at London Contemporary Dance School at 'The Place'.
Izzy graduated from ElliTe in May 2019 to commence a performing contract with Disneyland, Paris. Izzy has enjoyed a wonderful time on her first professional performing contract and has yet to come back to the UK. Whilst at ElliTe Izzy gained her Advanced 2 Modern qualfication, Intermediate Tap and Grade 5 Ballet as well as A-level dance from Rodillian Academy Sixth Form.
Ellie joined ElliTe from age 16-18 and in that time attained Intermediate and Advanced 1 ISTD Imperial Classical Ballet, Advanced 1 RAD Ballet, Intermediate, Advanced 1 and Advanced 2 ISTD Modern, Intermediate and Advanced 1 Tap. Not bad going in two years alongside A-levels! Ellie also joined our competition team, competing at the ISTD Senior Ballet Awards (Adv 1 class) and representing Team England at the 2019 Dance World Cup Finals. Ellie secured a place at Central School of Ballet where she commenced in September 2019.
Evie joined ElliTe in 2007 and remained with us for 12 years. During her time at ElliTe Evie took ISTD exams up to and including Advanced 1 Modern, Advanced 1 Tap, Intermediate Ballet, performed as part of our competition team at regional, national and latterly international events - representing Team England at the Dance World Cup Finals 2019, and featured in many shows and pantomimes. Having secured places at several vocational colleges, Evie commenced her training at Bird College in September 2019 age 16.
Alanna was another of our long-standing pupils having joined ElliTe in 2007. Whilst at the school, Alanna took ISTD exams up to and including Advanced 2 Modern, Advanced 2 Tap and Intermediate Ballet. Alanna also featured in shows and touring productions (The King & I, Bradford Alhambra), several Wakefield Theatre Royal Pantomimes, and on our competition team, placing 3rd at the That's Showbiz national finals and representing Team England at the Dance World Cup Finals 2019. Alanna graduated in the Summer of 2019 age 16 and commenced at the very prestigious Arts Educational School, Chiswick in September.
Phoebe graduated from ElliTe in the Summer of 2019, age 16 with Advanced 2 ISTD Modern, Advanced 1 ISTD Tap and Intermediate ISTD Ballet. Whilst at ElliTe, Phoebe formed part of our competition team, performing in the national Finals of That's Showbiz (3rd place overall), and representing Team England at the Dance World Cup Finals. A true triple threat performer, Phoebe has performed roles in many regional and touring productions including Jemima in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK Tour). In September 2019, Phoebe joined the prestigious Bird College, London to continue her vocational musical theatre training and has recently performed solo vocals at The Royal Albert Hall.
